Job description: 

• Investment Officer is responsible for identifying business opportunities, executing transactions, and provide active post-investment support to investee companies

• Investment Officer will also be responsible for assessing proposals for our social entrepreneurship mandate

• She/he will also work on a variety of corporate-wide projects

Main duties and responsibilities: 

• Participate in all aspects of E2’s investment cycle from project development to disbursement

• Conduct due diligence and assess investment opportunities

• Structure transactions, lead negotiations, and oversee legal documentation process

• Actively support investee companies and drive value through post-investment activities

• Independently prepare investment proposals and present to the Investment Committee

• Assess proposals for our social entrepreneurship mandate

• Work on corporate-wide projects

Education and experience requirements 

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in finance, business or other related fields

• A post-graduate qualification such as a CA, CFA or MBA is required

• 5 to 10 years of unlisted investment experience (e.g. PE/VC/angel) covering the entire investment cycle from deal origination, disbursement, post-investment to exit

• Strong financial skills including valuation and financial modelling

• Structuring skills and sound business judgment

• Superb written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English

• Knowledge of Companies Act, financing agreement terms, tax essential

• Experience in early stage investing ideal

• Willingness and interest in getting involved in non-investment work

• Genuine interest and commitment to our organisation’s mission
